Advocacy and Awareness
Data from the centre is regularly used by the print and visual media professionals in a number of areas to sensitize and inform the society on suicide prevention. Several activities have been carried out as part of World Suicide Prevention activities on a continuous basis. Media interviews, focused articles, training of media people have been regular activities of the CC.
The CC as part of media-related activities has .developed media guidelines for media professionals and recently in collaboration with an expert team has contributed for media guidelines published by WHO.
