The Metabolic Clinic in Psychiatry is a unique special clinical service in contemporary psychiatry that focuses on therapeutic approaches towards the metabolic side effects (cardio-metabolic as well as hyperprolactinemia associated side-effects) due to psychotropic medications in patients with psychiatric disorders. This unique clinical service is a part of the Individualized Schizophrenia Treatment And Reintegration (InSTAR) program.
The patients with psychiatric disorders will be assessed only with referral letter from the treating psychiatrist.
Who will benefit?
The patients will undergo comprehensive clinical evaluation with specific investigations focused on metabolic side-effects with special clinical assessments using structured instruments. As per the needs ascertained by these assessments, the patient and the care-giver will be offered comprehensive psycho-education about risk reduction strategies, yoga therapy, adaptive life Style related interventions, and specific pharmacological interventions.

Please report to Metabolic Clinic in Psychiatry between 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM.
Kindly ensure that you bring the hard copy of referral letter from the treating psychiatrist
