Blood Bank
Transfusion Medicine Centre (Blood Bank) is part of Neuropathology, situated in the Neurocentre building. TMC provides round the clock service.
TMC procures blood from voluntary donors, splits blood into different components like packed red cell (PRC), fresh frozen plasma (FFP), Platelet Concentre (PC) etc., and specific components are issued to the needy patients in our hospitals and several other hospitals. TMC is mother blood bank for Jayanagar General Hospital, Bangalore and General Hospital, Anekal, Bangalore Rural.
TMC also performs therapeutic procedures like plasma exchange and phlebotomy.
