Research focus
The research agenda of the Department of Epidemiology and Centre of Public Health at NIMHANS has been on: (1) Evidence generation (2) Translational research (3) Strengthening Health information systems and (4) Monitoring and evaluation to address Mental, Neurological and Substance Use Disorders, Non-Communicable Diseases and injuries. A variety of research methods of both quantitative and qualitative nature has been used ranging from population surveillance to focused institution based studies. The goal is to translate research findings to influence public health policy and action.
