Human Resource Development activities

With the current challenges in health, the public health systems need to be strengthened at different levels and should involve not just health but also other social sectors. Most importantly, it requires a strong and dedicated team consisting of skilled public health mangers, academicians, policy analysts, researchers, public health activists, health administrators, health practitioners, along with health care providers to plan, implement, and evaluate public health strategies and approaches. Thus, there is a need to develop a public health workforce sensitized to the issues related to Mental, Neurological and Substance use Disorders, injuries and Non-Communicable Diseases.
Over a period of time, the department has worked in bridging the public health workforce gap through variety of capacity building and capacity strengthening activities.
