Academic Support activities
The department undertakes annual sessions on basic and applied aspects of epidemiology to undergraduate, postgraduate and Phd students of various departments, both within and outside NIMHANS. The department also offers a full time Doctoral course in Epidemiology (sponsored candidates), WHO fellowship training (fellows from India and other South East Asian countries) and need based training to visiting scholars and interns. In addition, faculty from the department serve as resource person for various training and research activities in medical colleges, national and international health agencies.
Opportunities to undergo short and medium term training/internship in epidemiology and public health aspects of MNSUDs are available in the department and interested candidates can write to epidemiolgynimhans@gmail.com
