Research neurosurgery

The department of neurosurgery actively pursues various research areas. Clinical research in the form of patient studies, animal studies on various aspects of surgical technique, studies on brain function are performed by various faculty of the department. A large pool of patient data is available from which various factors affecting disease process are studied. A vibrant residency research program exists in which residents are allowed to participate in niche areas of neurosurgical research. The findings of such studies are presented in various fora and are well received in the neurosurgical community.
