The department provides full time Ph.D program in Human Genetics. Candidates with a post graduate degree in life sciences are eligible for Ph.D program. The candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of External Research fellowships to apply for Ph.D program.
The department also provides clinical observer ship for medical graduates in the field of clinical genetics. During the period exposure to clinical diagnosis of rare genetic syndromes, diagnostic genetic testing, interpretation of results, reporting, genotype-phenotype correlation, genetic counselling and management is provided
