Interventional Neuroradiology is a minimally invasive approach in the treatment of vascular diseases of central nervous system. Conditions in the past that would require surgical intervention such as aneurysm, arteriovenous malformations intracranial and extra cranial tumors, spinal lesions can be considered for treatment by using endovascular approach to reach the lesions. The department is equipped with two Biplane DSA machines for diagnostic and interventional services with vasoocclusive procedures like coiling, assisted coiling, liquidembolisation for neurovascular diseases like aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, carotico-cavernous fistula, spinal vascular malformations etc and vasodilator procedures like balloon angioplasty and stenting. For patients with carotid stenosis, intracranial arterial stenosis and dural sinus stenosisare offered. In addition we also perform preoperative tumor embolizations, pain relieving procedures like vertebroplasty. Stroke workup and mechanical thrombectomy procedures is also being done .
