Regular Workshops 

The department conducts regular workshops for the post graduates and young faculties from medicine and allied fields to enhance and orient them to methods and principles of epidemiological and evidence based research. 

1. Workshop on Research Methodology (WRM)

This workshop is conducted annually in the month of December since 2007, in coordination with the departments of Epidemiology, Bio-statistics, Neurology, and Psychiatry. This workshop equips participants with fundamental skills to design, conduct, analyse, review, and communicate quality research. Nearly 300 participants across the country have been benefitted from this workshop till date (2014).

2. Workshop on Advanced Epidemiology

This workshop has been initiated since 2015, targeted at public health professionals who have undergone basic courses in epidemiology and research methodology.  This workshop is designed to enhance the understanding and critical thinking in epidemiology through advanced training. It seeks to instill and catalyze the translation of epidemiological research into field level programmes.

In addition to the above regular training programmes, the department also conducts numerous capacity building programmes related to ongoing research and service delivery activities.
