Vision
Develop, promote and advocate evidence-based policies and programmes for reducing the burden and impact of Mental, Neurological and Substance use Disorders, Injuries and Non-Communicable Diseases and for improving health of the community.
Mission
Strengthen and implement epidemiological and public health principles and tools in the areas of Mental, Neurological and Substance use Disorders, Injuries, Non-Communicable Diseases.
Objectives
- Develop scientific data in the area of Mental, Neurological and Substance use Disorders, Injuries, Non-Communicable Diseases and inter-related areas
- Increase applications of epidemiology in health policy and planning,
- Augment human resource development and capacity strengthening
- Disseminate information and advocate for public health amongst planners, professionals, administrators and society, and
- Promote culture specific, cost effective and sustainable interventions
