Marital Enrichment Services

For Whom?

Marital Enrichment Services (MES) cater to couples and married individuals, at any stage of their relationship, who would like to improve the quality of their married life or need help in dealing with marital issues. These issues may be in one or two domains of their married life and may include day to day life stressors, parenting issues, economic stress, communication gaps, emotional problems or dealing with extended family members. It is meant for couples who do not have any severe psychological distress or psychiatric illness.

What Kinds of Services?

Marital Enrichment is a brief and focused intervention which targets the specific problems that the couple or individual presents with. Each session is goal oriented and aims to provide clients with immediate and practical solutions or skills that will help them deal with the issue at hand. For longer standing issues and more severe marital discord that may require more specialized services, clients are referred for more structured marital therapy services at Family Psychiatry Centre, NIMHANS.
